Looking back on 2012

WOW its the last day of the year!!!! And I will say it again, where has the time gone??? Its been a great year for me and our family. We brought our farm, I got published in Scrapbooking Memories, had 2 more layouts accepted for 2 different mags, become a DT for Scrap Everything and A2Z Scraplets, Youngest girl turned 1, Oldest girl finished Pre Primary and Middle girl starts Kindy next yr. All in all one GREAT yr.

I have notice a few blogs doing the top 12 layouts of the yr so I have decided why not join on the bang wagon

Scraped at the very beginning of the year for a challenge (not sure for who now) but it was white with one other colour. As the flowers had green and the brads had silver I decided not to enter. But I just loved how the ladybug turned out, a chipboard painted with brads as the dots. And I love this photo :)

This was not scrapped this yr but was my very first EVER published layout. My girls just love puddles :)

My middle girl just before she had a hair cut and the 'why of why must you play in dirt AFTER a shower???'

My first layout after I had found Handmade Halo. The pink flower, the blur lace, bottle cay and tea bag all came from her. I have since brought at least half the shop since then

Have been dying to scrap this photo for years. My first time using Texture Paste.

Another Muddle layout. 2nd time of using texture paste, used lots of Handmade Halo and Purple Pumpkin. Put this layout up on Purple Pumpkin Facebook page and won the monthly prize of the layouts put up on the facebook page.

I did this for the sketch challenge for Charms Creation and won!!!! YAY me. Another very fab place to get handmade embellishments :)

Did this for, I think, Scrap the girls challenge. Just love this one. Took only a day to do, which in my world just does not happen with 3 girls. All the flowers, charms are from Handmade Halo

My new baby with her Scottish Grandma. Love these photos. A mix of Charms and Halo, was really getting into all the handmade stuff

One of the 2 layouts I have ever done of me. And I used a shopping bad for the background

My very first layout for Scrap Everything.

And last but not least my first layout for A2Z Scraplets

If you have made it to the end o this post WELL DONE, thanks for looking and being part of my blog for 2012 and look forward to seeing you in the new year and for the GIVEAWAY I am having starting sometime in January. It will have Handmade Halo, Charms Creations, A2Z Scrplets and MORE..........

Thanks again

Merry Christmas and a few layouts

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope all of you had a fab day with family and friends. Its boxing day here in OZ and I so can not believe that I have not posted since the 4th!!!!! It has been such a busy time that it just did not happen. Oh well I have a few layouts to share with you from Scrap Everything.

The first is a photo of my 3 girls taken when the youngest was just 2 weeks old. I have used the Special paper from Kaisercraft new range, Serect Admirer.

As this paper is just stunning as is I added only a few embellishments. The Prima flowers that you can get from Scrap Everything is just so pretty!!! Topped off with a A2Z butterfly with Flourish With A Bling pearls on it.

Add a few more Prima flowers (all from the same packet) with a STUNNING Manor flower, more Flourish With A Bling and the words are from the sticker sheet from the Serect Admirer range

The title is an A2Z Scraplet

Have you every wondered what to do with ALL those die cuts that you get in a collection???? You use one or 2 then left with the rest. I was wanting to use lots and after a lot of play decided to use the dollies from the die collection from the new Kaisercraft range Secret Admirer as the photo matt instead of paper.

I inked around the edges to try and tie all the dollies together

Another stunning Manor flower with a Purple Pumpkin flower and a Charm Creation flower

The words again from the Secret Admirer sticker sheet

And a A2Z Scraplet title, love this one!!!!!

And another Charm Creation

Well that's it from me, hope its will not be tooo hot you you today (44 degrees here)

2 layouts for Scrap Everything

So as I go on my blog I relies that I have not blogged for over a week!!! Ooooops. Between harvest, rain and finishing 2nd daughters cross stitch stocking time has flown past.

I have 2 layouts to show you from my DT at Scrap Everything. I just loved what I got from her and of course her Internet shop is just filled with goodies that I MUST have lol

First is of my Mother-in-law holding our 2nd daughter on her naming day

This is the Kasiercraft Pickle Pear range. And a stunning range. Loved working with it :)

The dies that came with the 6x6 pad made clustering so very easy. Also used one as a title. The butterflies are rub-ons from the range as well. The pearls around the clock are from a Pearl pen. I loved using it so much I have gone back to Scrap Everything and brought more!!!

This metal butterfly I painted with gesso, painted with kaisercraft paint and used the Pearl pen.

More rub-on butterflies, die cuts and Pearl Pen

The next layout is of my sisters girls

This layout came about from the 6x6 paper pad from the pear range. We all have them but don't really use them past cards. So using an Hexagon Die I cut one out of each of the different paper from the pad, sewed around them before sticking them down on the card.

Love all the die cuts that came with the pad. Very good for layering. Also love the Manor flowers that Scrap Everything sells, has that WOW factor thats for sure

Also used Flourish With A Bling, metal butterfly painted with gesso and kaisercraft paint. The cute little owl charm is from Handmade Halo. And of cause the title, a very beautiful one from A2Z

And another charm from Halo.

Well thats it from me for now. Head HERE for Scrap Everything Shop and check out all the goodies, be quick otherwise it will all be coming to me :)

Naming day layouts

After a busy few weeks of harvest everything came to a stand still yesterday with 2 storms. After 10mm of rain no harvest for a few days. With only a week to go its a little annoying. Oh well what can you do???

I have a few 8x8 layouts that I have done for middle daughter naming day album (which was over 2yrs ago) 2 pages I had started around a yr ago then stopped. So I added what I could to go with my style now and then did another page. Here is the first

As I started this one a yr or so ago can not tell you much about it. But I added a A2Z Scraplet heart and Handmade Halo resin flowers. Thinking that the paper is Prima as the butterfly. Buts that's it.

Another old one. Unlike the top layout, I could not take the photo off to back with black card. All I could do with this is add a Handmade Halo flower

Ok this is my new one and the fav photo from the day. I will be doing this photo again in 12x12 format. I used a prima template with a texture paste that I got from Scrap Everything. It is grainy and looks fab!!!. Also used Handmade Halo flower and lace and A2Z Scraplets butterfly, leaves and word. The word was 'Daddy's girl' but to big for this format so just used 'girl' and used October Afternoons letters for 'Daddy. Love this one!!!

Don't forget to enter the A2Z Scraplets Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch again

123 October Challenge

hello again, my 2nd post of the day (clickHERE if you want to see it). I have just finished my take on the 123 October Challenge. For it you needed to have:

                                                                     WORD: MISS
                                                                     COLOUR: BUS YELLOW
                                                                     TECHNIQUE: STRIPS

So this is my take on it:

The background paper is bus yellow (or as close as I could get it), lots of paper strips and the title has 'Miss' Was trying to come up with a different way to use miss but with 3 girls it was hard.
The papers are Echo Park and October Afternoons, chipboard is 2Crafty, resin flower from Handmade Halo and the rest of the flowers and twine from Scrapbooking In Geraltdon. Oh and I used mist.

Close up of title, one of the butterflies I cut out and flower

If you want to have a go at the challenge head HERE

A few layouts to share

hello on this fine Monday, did you have a fab weekend??? As its harvest time now Sundays is the only day off for hubby so it was nice to spend it as a family.

The first layout is of my oldest girl taken in Augusta, W.A in March.

I cut all the sea animals from a sheet from the Kaisercraft range. The paper is Echo park, the frame is from Handmade Halo, pearls are Flourish With A Bling and the bandage is from my first aid kit.

You can just see the pearls, the hidden treasure. The bandage was roughly sprayed with mist. The frame was roughly painted with paint

I inked around all the animals.

And this layout is the one that was published in Scrapbooking Memories in August

I did this layout middle of last yr for a forum that has since closed.

Thanks for looking

Belinda :D
